My Osteopathy Training and Experience:

Twenty four years ago I decided to study osteopathy when I saw my Grandpa struggling to live with severe pain. All I wanted to do was help. Conventional medicine was not helping him so I thought there must be something else out there.

I started studying an osteopathy degree at the European School of Osteopathy in 2002. Very quickly I was hooked on how amazing the human body is. We studied a huge range of subjects to increase our understanding of how the human body works: four years of physiology, neurology, embryology, anatomy, biomechanics and pathology. At the same time we also learnt a huge range of osteopathic techniques from classical structural osteopathy which stretches, articulates, and manipulates all the muscles and joints to cranial techniques which use light and subtle movement to treat the whole body.

In the third and forth year of study I trained at the clinic attached to the school. Since this time I have loved meeting patients and seeing the results the treatments have on their lives. In 2006 I qualified with a 2:1 honours degree in Osteopathy and registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

I moved to Cheltenham as soon as I qualified and have worked in osteopathic clinics ever since including the Cheltenham Holistic Health Centre where I still currently practice.

In 2012 my life changed completely when I had my first daughter and quite quickly I had another daughter in 2013. My husband and I moved first to Stroud and now Minchinhampton to give them a different life and to be part of a community. I love helping people and I feel so privileged to be able to watch patients lives change for the better.
